The Big Problem

58,000,000,000 paper cups are thrown away and are not recycled every year. In the process of paper cup manufacturing, 20 000 000 trees are cut down, and approximately 12 000 000 000 gallons of water are used every year. Grim statistics show that more than 380 paper cups are thrown away every second, which means we lose a tree every two seconds.

To provide you a good estimate of how much water is wasted - the volume of Olympic-size swimming pool is 660 000 gallons, Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta contains 10 000 000 gallons of marine and salt water, and the capacity of Bouquet Reservoir in California is approximately 12 000 000 000 gallons.

After this tedious manufacturing process, the cup is used only for a small period of time. Paper cups are made from high quality virgin paper pulp. Recycled paper is not used for hygienic reasons, as the paper may come into contact with the liquid, carrying a greater risk of contamination. In addition, paper cups are coated with polymer, such as polyethylene, to make them waterproof. This is the key reason why recycling of such paper cups is still a major challenge. Also, the cost of recycling exceeds the cost of manufacturing. Another concern is that waterproofing with polyethylene possesses potential hazards for your health.

This challenge has motivated us to brainstorm the problem and come up with better solution. Our goal is to eliminate hardly recyclable paper cups which contaminate our environment. The first step was to go back to the drawing board and improve the design.

Our solution (US patent pending) is to separate the waterproof layer from the structural frame making a two-piece container consisting of flexible insert (we call it GreenSert) and firm holder (we call it RecyClad).

Introducing The Solution: GreenSert

With this approach we were able to optimize and maximize the desired properties for each component. In turn, it allowed us to make the container lightweight, compact, and highly portable.

GreenSert is designed to be compatible with most cup holders, such as standard 12 oz paper cups. We stand firm in our commitment to top quality manufacturing, that is why all our products are designed and proudly made in USA.

  • Enhanced insulation keeps the contents at desired temperatures for longer times
  • Flexible, durable, and shatter resistant
  • Odor and stain resistant
  • Easy to clean
  • Compact, lightweight, and highly portable

What is GreenSert?

GreenSert (green + insert) is an insulating waterproof insert made of high quality food grade silicone rubber (US patent pending). GreenSert weights only 18 grams (a little over half oz) and it fits various cup holders, such as the paper cup holder we offer (RecyClad) or any standard 12 oz cup.

Why GreenSert?

  • Hygienic and hypoallergenic with no open pores to harbor bacteria
  • Excellent heat resistance, cold flexibility, dielectric properties, and especially good resistance to weather, ozone and UV rays
  • Non-toxic
  • Plastic-free
  • 100% Recyclable
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Does not fade or scratch
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe

These advantages are what make us unique and help us to stand out from the crowd of many other solutions existing on the market!

Why RecyClad?

  • Lightweight
  • Compact
  • Highly portable
  • Provides additional thermal insulation
  • 100% Recyclable
  • Compostable

What is RecyClad?

RecyClad (recyclable + cladding) is an insulating structural holder designed exclusively for GreenSert (US patent pending). However, it also works with other cups. RecyClad is manufactured in US and is completely made from recycled paper. What make our design unique is that we eliminated the need for bonding, hence we brought the impact on the environment to a minimum level.

We stand behind our products and services with confidence, and we also believe in investing to the US economy. Our commitment and goal is to provide top quality products that will meet or exceed your expectations. Therefore, we partnered only with the US manufacturers.
